As you stand in the room where history was made, you might feel like you’re starring in your own Hamilton episode. “I’m not throwing away my shot!” Yeah, we said it.


Mid-Morning: Check Out the Liberty Bell and Walk Around Old City

While you’re in the neighborhood, swing by the Liberty Bell—it’s a must-see! Don’t forget to get a shot with the most famous crack in America. It’s iconic! Afterward, take a stroll through Old City, where cobblestone streets and historical charm collide. Pop into Elfreth’s Alley, the oldest residential street in the country. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time—just without the powdered wigs and tricorn hats.

Pro Tip: Bring comfy shoes for the cobblestones—you’ll be walking a lot!

If sushi is more your style, I highly recommend Umi Seafood & Sushi Bar. Known for its incredibly fresh fish, Umi offers a variety of, sushi rolls, and prepared seafood that are perfect for a lighter, yet flavorful meal. Their signature rolls, like the Unagi w/ Avocado roll or their vegan rolls. Plus, their made-to-order approach ensures every bite is fresh and delicious!


Afternoon: Immerse Yourself in Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art

If you’re in the mood for something upscale, Zahav is a top-tier Israeli restaurant (book in advance, it’s a hot spot!). If you want something more casual but equally delicious, check out The Love for some killer American cuisine. Afterward, grab a drink at a nearby speakeasy like The Franklin Bar, where the cocktails are creative and the atmosphere is charmingly intimate.


Day 2: Outdoor Adventures, Shopping, and Must-Try Eateries

For lunch, head straight to South Philly and grab some street food at the Italian Market. This place is packed with delicious, affordable bites. Indulge in some fish Tacos at Blue Corn, or for meat lovers, my sister recommends a classic Philly cheesesteak at Geno’s? The other option is Pat’s. That’s up to you! 

But here’s a local tip: Skip the long lines and check out John’s Roast Pork for an underrated yet delicious alternative in Philadephia

For your final evening, head to Spruce Street Harbor Park along the Delaware River. In the warmer months, this park is a magical place with hammocks, colorful lights, and food vendors. Grab a bite from one of the eateries’. Chickie’s & Pete’s offers classic Philly fare., Then relax by the water. 

Don’t forget to try a Philly-style soft pretzel before you go—it’s the perfect Philly ending to you visit.
